Microsoft Speech is a notification plugin for the very nice PopTray email checker.  This plugin will audibly tell you when you have new emails.  You can configure it to tell you the total number of new emails, new and unread emails, the list of senders, or the list of senders and the subjects of their emails.

Note:  This software requires that the Microsoft Speech engine be installed on your PC.  (Windows XP has the speech engine installed by default, but only one voice)  I recommend using the "Microsoft Mary" voice as it seems the most realistic to me.
